Ciplar-LA 40 Tablet is a medicine used to reduce anxiety and tremors. It is also prescribed to prevent migraine, angina (heart-related chest pain), and bleeding in the stomach caused by high blood pressure in the liver (portal hypertension). Ciplar-LA 40 Tablet may also be used to treat high blood pressure and certain types of abnormal heartbeat (arrhythmia). The dose of this medicine will depend on the condition being treated and how you respond to it. It should always be taken as prescribed by your doctor. You should take it on an empty stomach and at the same time every day. It is important to continue taking the medicine even if you feel better, as stopping it suddenly can make your condition worse.The most common side effects of this medicine include tiredness, weakness, cold fingers and toes (Raynaud phenomenon), irregular or slow heartbeat, numbness in your fingers, and shortness of breath. You may also experience nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you experience any of these side effects or if they do not go away, talk to your doctor. Most side effects are temporary and improve as your body adjusts to the medicine.You should not use this medicine if you have asthma, very slow or uneven heartbeats, or a serious heart condition including heart failure.
