Reclimet Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication that is used to control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a combination of two medicines and should be taken with food at the same time each day. It is important to take it regularly and not to stop it without consulting your doctor as this could lead to high blood sugar levels and complications such as kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Reclimet Tablet is only part of a treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. The most common side effect of this medicine is low blood glucose levels (hypoglycemia), which can be prevented by having regular meals and carrying a fast-acting source of glucose such as sugary food or fruit juice with you. Drinking alcohol can increase the risk of low blood sugar levels and should be avoided. Other side effects may include taste changes, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, and upper respiratory tract infection. Reclimet Tablet is not suitable for people with type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis, or severe kidney or liver disease. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking it. Regular blood sugar level checks and blood tests may be required to monitor blood cell counts and liver function. If you have a history of heart disease, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
