Sinarest Drops are commonly prescribed for children to treat symptoms of the common cold, such as a sore throat, runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, body aches, and fever.
Administer Sinarest Drops to your child by mouth, with or without food. Since children can have sensitive stomachs and may experience stomach upset when taking medications, it may be better to give this medicine with food if this occurs. The dosing schedule provided by your child’s doctor is tailored to your child’s specific symptoms, so it’s important to follow the prescribed dose, timing, and method of administration strictly.
Give Sinarest Drops at the same time each day to help incorporate it into your child’s daily routine, making it easier to remember. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, you can give the same dose again. However, if it's already time for the next dose, do not repeat the dose. Your child may start feeling better within a week of regular dosing, but it’s essential to continue giving the medicine for the entire prescribed course. Stopping the medication abruptly could worsen your child’s condition.
Some minor and temporary side effects your child may experience while taking this medicine include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, rash, and headache. These side effects usually subside as your child’s body adjusts to the medication. However, if these side effects persist or become bothersome, contact your child’s doctor immediately.
It's crucial to inform your child’s doctor about their complete medical history, including any current medications or past issues like allergies, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstructions, lung anomalies, skin disorders, liver impairments, or kidney malfunctions. This information is vital for any necessary dose adjustments and for planning your child’s overall treatment.
