Telekast-L Kid Tablet in children:

  • Treatment of Allergy Symptoms: Telekast-L Kid Tablet is commonly prescribed in children to alleviate symptoms of allergies, such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It can be effective in managing allergies related to various triggers. Giving the medicine at a fixed time before or after food, in the prescribed dose, time, and manner, is recommended.

  • Treatment of Asthma and Skin Allergies: In addition to allergies, Telekast-L Kid Tablet may also be used in the treatment of asthma and skin allergies. For asthma, it is preferable to administer the medication in the evening or 2 hours before physical activity. For allergies, the best timing depends on the time of onset of symptoms—either in the morning or evening. If your child has both conditions, giving the medication in the evening is advised.

  • Dosage Administration: Give the prescribed dose of Telekast-L Kid Tablet to your child at a fixed time before or after food, as directed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, you can repeat the same dose. However, if it is already time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. It is important to complete the prescribed dose to ensure maximum benefit. Abruptly stopping the medicine may worsen your child's condition.

  • Side Effects: Telekast-L Kid Tablet may cause minor and temporary side effects in some children. These can include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, and headache. Typically, these side effects subside as the child's body adapts to the medicine. If these effects persist or start bothering your child, it is important to consult your child's doctor without delay.

  • Medical History and Other Medications: Inform your child's doctor about any other medications your child is already taking. Additionally, provide a complete medical history of your child, including prior episodes of allergy, heart problems, blood disorders, vascular disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomalies, skin disorders, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. This information is crucial for dose adjustments and planning your child's overall treatment.

Remember, the information provided here is for educational purposes only, and it is important to consult your child's doctor for personalized advice based on your child's specific condition and medical history.
